Hotel Lancelot

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lancelot. The location was awesome, the staff was awesome and always available and the breakfast was great! There are many restaurants nearby and a grocery store which was nice for buying wine or sandwich's. The rooms are typical European style with a wardrobe for hanging your clothes and drawers for storing your items. There is not really a suitcase storage but we were able to fit everything in the wardrobe. We had a little balcony off our room onto the main street which was full of all the sounds of Rome! The room was very clean as was the entire hotel! The elevator is really tiny and can fit maybe three people, which isn't a big deal if you can take the stairs. We never ended up eating the nightly dinner due to our schedule, but they were very popular! I would highly recommend!

I probably had one of the best hotel stays ever at Hotel Lancelot. The hotel is centrally located near all the tourist attractions and is close to main bus routes too. Various staff members at the reception were friendly, helpful and had keen attention to detail. They always strived to exceed customer service. The rooms were spacious, cleaned regularly and had all the important amenities. Breakfast served had heaps of tasty and healthy option. I was also lucky to attend the New Year Gala dinner organised by the hotel for guests. The dinner served was fantastic and top notch quality! Since I was visiting by myself, the owners Helen and Lubna invited me to sit with them on their table and enjoy the evening. I thought that was a very kind gesture - mainly focused on the hotel’s values of ensuring and exceeding customer satisfaction. Lubna and Helen made me feel special and valued and I can not wait to visit this gem of a hotel again. Do yourself a favour and stay here for your next trip to Roma. I will be for sure telling my friends in Australia about this amazing hotel and will highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Hotel Lancelot :)

Lovely, family run hotel. I had single room with no frills but spotlessly clean & comfortable. Disappointed that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Very good breakfast, communal rooms were beautifully furnished, however I would say, there is no natural light in them which made it difficult if you wanted to relax & read a book. Reception & bar staff extremely helpful. A little oasis away from the clamour of the Colisseum.

The Lancelot is a gem. They are super friendly and very close to restaurants and all the major sites. It's only 10 minutes walk to the coliseum. They have a bar down stairs and free breakfast. The rooms are a bit small and the elevator only holds 3 people which at times causes issues with getting luggage to your room. If your at the bar and you meet a very pleasant man called Michael that helps manage day to day activities, say hello and tell him the group of 7 says hello from Canada. He will do everything possible to assist your stay and make it a wonderful experience.

Over the years, we have enjoyed staying at the Lancelot. When my husband has business with FAO, it is a nice walk along the river to get to his meetings. When I’ve accompanied him, we have stayed in a double. Once we brought our adult daughter and they provided a much larger room that was comfortable for all of us. Usually we visit when the season has cool evening temperatures, we set my favorite plain yogurt on the window sill to keep it cool. The staff are always friendly and we are happy to stay every time we visit Rome. If you have a car, don’t forget to reserve a spot - parking on the street is almost impossible but with a reservation your car (hopefully small car) will be fine in the little hotel lot.
